Pioneer DJ has uncovered the latest controller in their line of XDJ all-in-one DJ systems, the XDJ-XZ. With 4-channels, support for rekordbox and (soon) Serato DJ Pro, and a layout inherited from Pioneer DJ’s club-standard gear, the XDJ-XZ is an absolute powerhouse unit. Mobile DJs will be especially excited since this unit built to be a professional setup for events, weddings, a bar or club, or even your private studio. Keep reading for more.
The XDJ-XZ packs in virtually every feature you can think of into one Pioneer DJ controller. Starting with a 7-inch LCD touch screen and On Jog Display in the center of each jog wheel, DJs are able to see all of their important visual information. Full-size jog wheels make mixing and scratching feel like you’re using Pioneer DJ’s club-standard CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM-900NXS2. Alongside 14 professional Beat FX and 6 Sound Color FX taken straight from the DJM-900NXS2 mixer, there’s also 16 multicolored Performance Pads (8 per deck) that allow you to trigger software-specific features.
The XDJ-XZ is the first all-in-one DJ system to support Pro DJ Link. This means you can connect external equipment such as CDJs to channels 3 and 4 and sync audio to your mix. Use the screen on the XDJ-XZ or the one on the CDJ to browse tracks on USB drives connected to either unit.
rekordbox DJs can plug in USB drives loaded with rekordbox-analyzed tracks, connect a PC/Mac, or play tracks directly from your rekordbox library via Link Export mode. Serato users will also soon be able to tap into the XDJ-XZ with a confirmed firmware update coming early 2020.
