Spinnin’ Records Purchased by Warner Music Group in $100 Million Deal
Share

Warner Music Group, one of three of the largest major music labels, has purchased Spinnin’ Records for an astounding $100 million. Spinnin’ Records is arguably one of the most successful dance-labels worldwide. With a dedicated online fan base of more than 26 million followers on social media, the Dutch EDM label serves a mass-audience on various streaming platforms.

Supposedly both Sony Music Entertainment and Believe Digital have made offers to acquire the label in the past, but Spinnin’ ultimately decided Warner Music Group was the right fit. Within Warner, Spinnin’ Records will be run by its co-founder Roger de Graaf as CEO, who will work closely with Bart Cools, Warner’s EVP, Global A&R and Marketing, Dance Music.

“Spinnin’ has found the perfect home at Warner Music,” said Roger de Graaf.

Headquartered in the Netherlands and launched in 1999, Spinnin’ has released hits from some of EDM’s biggest names, such as Afrojack, Armand van Helden, Tiesto and Martin Garrix. Currently signed to the label are other talented artists including Oliver Heldens, Sam Feldt, Bassjackers and Fedde Le Grand. It’s also home to several sub-labels including Spinnin’ Deep, Tiësto’s Musical Freedom, Oliver Heldens’ Heldeep Records and Sander van Doorn’s DOORN to name a few.

We’re excited to see what’s next for the influential dance music label. Stay tuned to our blog for more updates!
