Pioneer DJ today announced a major firmware update, version 2.0, for the CDJ-3000 multi player. The 2.0 update introduces a new feature, rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, which makes it possible for DJs to directly play music stored in the cloud using a CDJ-3000. Keep reading for more.
rekordbox CloudDirectPlay allows DJs to combine the advanced features of the CDJ-3000 with the convenience of having immediate access to their cloud-based music. With the option to log in to your latest rekordbox library from the DJ booth and play music directly from the cloud, you can enjoy a smoother DJ experience than ever before.
CloudDirectPlay is available through the rekordbox Creative and Professional subscription plans starting at $14.99 per month. These plans offer the Cloud Library Sync feature so you can access your latest library from different devices and sync playlists and tracks between them.
There’s no need to download and export files; you can use all your metadata, such as Hot Cues and Memory Cues; and you don’t need to worry about storage space on your USB storage device. Plus, any metadata you edit on the CDJ-3000 – or in the PC/Mac/iOS/Android versions of rekordbox – will be automatically uploaded to the cloud, meaning your music library is always up to date.
