Share

Akai Professional, creator of the iconic MPC series, has introduced the next generation of their portable standalone music production center, the MPC Live II. The newest model adds built-in monitor speakers and features a rechargeable battery and MIDI multifunctionality. Keep reading for more.

Building on the success of its predecessor, the award-winning MPC Live, the MPC Live II now has built-in stereo monitors for a completely standalone music-making experience. These new monitors are not only convenient for studio use but also provide a great platform for listening and creating on-the-go without headphones. When it comes to sound quality, you can trust that the monitors provide a dynamic response, accurately reproducing high-frequency audio as well as low frequencies.

Alongside new built-in monitors, the MPC Live II’s 7-inch touchscreen delivers easy access to beat making and editing. Using features like Mute, Time Correct, and Mix, DJs and producers can edit and tweak tracks in an instant. It also has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that gives you all the power you need for up to five hours of music creation, as well as a robust 16GB sound library of high-quality samples and loops.

The MPC Live II provides new connectivity options for hook-up flexibility with all your studio gear, including eight new CV/Gate outputs (four TRS jacks) and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Last but certainly not least, with the latest MPC Software 2.8 update, you can now simultaneously connect and route all of your MIDI gear, including class-compliant USB Keyboards, MIDI interfaces, and USB to CV modules. The new update is available today as a free download for all MPC Live, MPC Live II, MPC X, and MPC One owners.

The MPC Live II is available now for $1,199. To learn more, visit Akai Pro’s website and check out the official introduction videos up top and below.
