The show must go on! Well, someday perhaps. While we may be in the middle of a giant halt on live music production and performances, behind the scenes, companies like SoundSwitch are still keeping things moving in preparation for better days ahead. Enter the latest version of their digital lighting software, v2.2.

The v2.2 software update from SoundSwitch introduces Advanced Lighting Automation that creates professional and immersive light shows automatically and within seconds. Additionally, a new feature called Phrase Detection Algorithm makes it easier for DJs to sync lighting effects to the most dramatic points in the music by detecting song characteristics and major music sections.

More about the newest features in v2.2:

The DMX universe menu now offers Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Wash and Spot fixture assignments as well as Strobe/Blinder assignment.

Automated Phrase Detection

Automatically detects major music sections and unique musical features such as intros and outros, drops, breakdowns, and build-ups.

Refreshed User Interface

With a cleaner and more modern working space, the new UI offers quick access to the Automation button and a new Automation Settings window loaded with presets and advanced features.
