In an exciting teaser released this week, the Rane DJ camp said they are “battle-ready” for August’s DJ Expo and will introduce “two important and exciting new products to the professional DJ market.”
Rane DJ, an established innovator in the DJ industry, seems to be officially back in the game and ready to take on the competition. They were sold last July to InMusic, the same company who has acquired DJ companies in the past, like Denon DJ, Numark, and Akai. Since then, Rane has been quiet, but the DJ Expo is a great place to showcase what they’ve been working on.
While it’s not exactly clear what the new equipment will be, some are speculating that the “battle-ready” headline hints at battle-friendly mixers. We’ll have to wait for the DJ Expo to find out, but Rane promises the new products will be ground-breaking:
“With these new products, Rane is sending a powerful message to professional DJs all over the world and our loyal, demanding customers that we’re present in a big, big way. This will be a breakthrough year for Rane as we push the boundaries of performance, quality and innovation to new heights of excitement. All we can say is you’ve been warned.”
Along with the hype of new products, Rane has also announced a new addition to their team, Brand Manager, JP Mathurin (DJ FATFINGAZ). Rane says Mathurin is a seasoned, enthusiastic DJ veteran who will perfectly complement Rane’s upcoming product lineup.
Rane will reveal the new products at this year’s DJ Expo in Atlantic City, NJ from August 14-17. If you’re attending, check them out at Booth #115. Let us know what you think the new products will be!
