Pioneer DJ & Serato Launch DDJ-SX3 With More Features for Mobile DJs
Share

Pioneer DJ and Serato have launched the DDJ-SX3, the newest upgrade to their industry-leading DDJ-SX controller series. Exciting new features include dual USB ports, dedicated Mic terminal, and multiple inputs/outputs – ideal for mobile DJs and those with more complex routines. Keep reading for more.

The DDJ-SX3 builds on the core features of its popular predecessor, the DDJ-SX2. The layout of the SX3 has been kept almost identical to the SX2 and includes the same high-quality casing.

Considering the wide success that the DDJ-SX2 has had, particularly with mobile DJs, it comes as no surprise that an upgrade was in the works. New features allow DJs to make smooth transitions between other DJs, guest speakers, musical genres and individual tracks.

Some of the new features include:

  • 3 dedicated mic inputs
  • Dual USB inputs
  • Built-in sound color FX
  • 16 backlit RGB pads with 11 performance modes
  • Jog wheels with reduced latency
  • Dedicated Serato Flip and key controls for Serato Pitch ‘n Time DJ

“The third mic input, in particular, will be an invaluable tool for mobile DJs – now you can simultaneously DJ with all four decks while you talk to the crowd, or use all three mics without interrupting your mix. Dual USB ports, meanwhile, take the hassle out of DJ changeovers and allow for seamless back-to-back performance,” said Chief Strategy Officer at Serato, Nick Maclaren.

Developed specifically for use with Serato software, the upgraded controller unlocks Serato DJ Pro and comes with free licenses for Serato Flip and Pitch ‘n Time DJ in the box. Additionally, support for the DDJ-SX3 is included in Serato DJ Pro 2.0.3, now available to download.

“We’ve focused on packing as much control and power as possible into this premium, four-channel controller,” added Maclaren.
