Today, Pioneer DJ announced that the latest DJM mixers, as well as the CDJ-TOUR1 multi-player, are now compatible with Traktor Pro 2 and Traktor Scratch Pro 2. This new support promises intuitive performance features and seamless connectivity through just a USB connection from your PC or Mac.
Pioneer DJ’s latest mixers are now compatible with Traktor Scratch Pro 2 using the DVS feature. Models include:
You can also now use your DJM mixer as an audio output device for Traktor Scratch Pro 2 thanks to the mixer’s built-in USB card(s). Simply configure the audio routing from the mixer to your preferred mode, such as DJ Performance, Track Recording or Track Creation using the utility setting tool on your computer.
The CDJ-TOUR1 multi-player has a similar layout as the CDJ-2000NXS2 with an added 13-inch fold-out touch screen. It’s now compatible with Traktor Pro 2 using the USB-HID control feature and eliminates the need for a control disc. All of the performance features are linked to the software and Beat Jump, Beat Countdown and Phase Meter features appear on the display screen.
This new compatibility was made possible through the Pioneer DJ Certification Program, an initiative to help Pioneer DJ customers use their gear confidently with products and software from other companies.
Registered users can download the latest version of Traktor Pro 2 to enable USB-HID control with compatible multi players, and download the latest version ofTraktor Scratch Pro 2 to enable DVS control with compatible DJM mixers. You’ll also need to update the firmware for your multi-players/DJM mixers to the latest version if you haven’t already.
