Pioneer DJ announced the latest addition to their headphone family – the HDJ-X series. Created with a high quality audio design, these over-ear headphones are durable and made to handle heavy use in any environment. Starting at just $99 for the HDJ-X5 model, touring DJs on the road at gigs and festivals may find these to be a great option.
Pioneer says the HDJ-X headphones are so robust that they even cleared a US Military Standard MIL-STD-810G shock test, as well as Pioneer’s own rigorous testing. They also have a water repellent nano coating to protect from sweat and dirt, making them easy to keep clean.
Most exciting, the HDJ-X series are the first DJ headphones with drivers that produce high-resolution sound ranging from 5 Hz to 40 kHz. Additional features are a detachable mini-XLR connector for the cord and flexible swivel mechanism that allows you to wear them comfortably whichever way you prefer for long periods of time.
Available in early October, the HDJ-X series comes in three different model types that won’t break the bank:
HDJ-X10: $349.00
HDJ-X7: $199.00
HDJ-X5: $99.00
