Native Instruments Adds the “Essential” Traktor Kontrol S3 to the Kontrol Lineup
Share

Native Instruments has announced the Traktor Kontrol S3, the company’s “essential” four-channel DJ controller that closes the gap between the Kontrol S2 and the Kontrol S4. It’s made for DJs who want to dive into four-deck DJing, layer beats, and launch samples on the fly. Keep reading for more details.

Native Instruments says the Kontrol S3 is “the perfect controller to step up your sets and start DJing across four decks…with total freedom.” While there has been some criticism of whether the S3 brings anything new to the table, the controller offers a variety of features that DJs want, including full-length faders, EQ, cueing, 16 RGB pads, and Mixer FX control on each deck. The S3 also comes paired with the full version of TRAKTOR PRO 3 so you can take advantage of tools like Tempo Sync and Flux Mode right out of the box.

Priced right in between the S2 ($339) and the S4 ($999), the S3 comes in at $649.00 USD. In comparison with the S4, features missing include Haptic Drive motorized jog wheels, high-resolution displays, and Deck FX controls. Native Instruments has made it easy to compare the entire Kontrol lineup and choose the controller that’s right for you with this nifty comparison chart.

The Traktor Kontrol S3 is available for pre-order now and officially drops November 5. To learn more, visit the Native Instruments website.
