Denon DJ Prime Series Now Compatible with SoundSwitch and Resolume
Share

In case you missed it at this year’s DJ Expo in Atlantic City, NJ, Denon DJ announced that their Prime Series hardware is now compatible with SoundSwitch lighting and Resolume video software via StageLinq, Denon DJ’s proprietary communication protocol. With StageLinq’s ability to feed data to these software plugins, users can take advantage of seamless ‘plug ‘n play’ integration, allowing more creative control over lighting and video effects.

Known globally as the originator of DJ waveform-driven lighting control, SoundSwitch lets DJs seamlessly integrate custom and automated lighting into live performances. (They were also recently acquired by Denon DJ.) Combining Denon DJ’s Prime Series gear with SoundSwitch’s industry-trusted hardware/software system, DJs can achieve maximum audio-visual impact. Check out the official promo video to see more about these key features:

  • StageLinq Connection to Players and Mixer
  • Scripted Track and Autoloops Playback
  • Mix Audio and Light Using Cross/Channel Faders
  • Four Deck Light Show Support
  • Ableton Link
  • MIDI Lighting Effects

StageLinq also seamlessly links to Resolume video software for VJs, AV performers, and video artists. Resolume combines all of a DJ’s media and visual effects in one place, making it simple to create explosive, spontaneous visuals in real-time. Key features of this integration include:

  • Automatic clip selection
  • Synchronized playback
  • Automatic transitions based on fader status
  • Visualization of player activity

While the release date for compatibility with SoundSwitch has not yet been announced, compatibility with Resolume is available now. Registered users can download version 6.1 of Arena (the advanced version of Resolume software for large stage performances) for free, or new users can try a free demo.

In addition to compatibility with SoundSwitch and Resolume, StageLinq has also been integrated successfully with BLCKBOOK’s Timecode software. Stay tuned for more updates as they unfold.
