Pioneer DJ Unveils the PLX-CRSS12 Hybrid Turntable With Analog Playback and DVS Control
Share

Pioneer DJ has introduced a new way for DJs to play and perform using a turntable. The PLX-CRSS12 is a professional digital-analog hybrid turntable and the world’s first deck with analog playback and tone-arm-free DVS control. Keep reading for more.

With the new PLX-CRSS12, never worry about needle skipping again when you use the turntable in DVS mode with Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox. The tone-arm-free playback means artists can scratch a real analog record as vigorously as they like without fear of missing a beat.

For DJs who prefer a traditional turntable, they can simply switch the deck to Analog mode and use the tone arm as normal. By adjusting the rotation dial on the included MAGVEL CLAMP, you can change how “heavy” or “light” the record feels. DJs can also adjust the turntable’s torque level in the utility settings, and there are three stopping speeds to choose from.

The PLX-CRSS12 is designed for fluid scratching and intuitive performances and has features that enable a greater level of control and creativity. The battle-style layout leaves plenty of room for scratching and there are 4 MIDI-mappable Performance Pads too. DJs can also keep an eye on crucial information via the OLED display.

Various components have been upgraded from the highly respected PLX-1000 professional turntable to create the best-ever analog sound from a Pioneer DJ deck. A switching power supply is used to eliminate transformer power supply vibration and flux leakage while suppressing unwanted noise, creating high-resolution sound quality.

Compatible with both Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox, the PLX-CRSS12 has a sleek matte black color scheme with special coatings applied to the tone arm and other metal parts.
