Share

Meet Rivas, one of BPM Music’s open format remixers/editors. Based in Boston, Rivas holds a residency with Big Night Entertainment and has performed in notable venues across the country. Supported by industry giants like Marshmello, Tiësto, Diplo, Zedd, Nicky Romero, Loud Luxury, and The Chainsmokers, Rivas has shared stages with renowned artists such as Alesso, FISHER, Dillon Francis, Benny Benassi, 50 Cent, and Swae Lee, to name a few.

“I live, breathe, and love everything about music. From creating mashups and edits to turning originals into club hits, music is my passion. I love giving tracks more energy and my personal touch, and it’s always exciting to see how the crowd reacts to my edits. Testing them out live each week helps me understand what works best, which translates directly to the music I’m producing and remixing for other DJs on BPM Supreme.”

Pushing boundaries & influencing club culture.

Rivas’s music taste is expansive, but his go-to genre is EDM. In the clubs, he brings the energy with high-impact bass house tracks from artists like Knock2 and Cheyenne Giles. Outside the club scene, his playlist features tech house favorites by James Hype, John Summit, Dom Dolla, and Chris Lake. He also dives into UK dance pop with sounds from MK, D.O.D., and Sonny Fodera, while his hip-hop influences range from Travis Scott and Drake to Kendrick Lamar, 21 Savage, and Future.

With his dynamic range and passion for music, Rivas hopes to continue to push the boundaries of his craft while influencing club culture.

Hometown buzz and energy.

“Whenever I need a creative boost, coffee is my go-to and one of my favorite places to get work done is Brew on the Grid, a coffee shop in my hometown of Worcester, MA. This place has an incredible selection of coffees and arguably some of the best breakfast sandwiches in Worcester.

“I thrive in creative environments where I’m surrounded by other professionals who are also working on their passions. This spot is a gathering place for the local community, full of an organic hometown buzz and energy. While I’m excited about building my own studio, for now, Brew on the Grid is a great place to focus, gain inspiration, feed my body and soul, and give back to my local community.”

Staying true to his personal style.

“One of my most prized possessions is my extensive collection of Air Jordan 1s. The versatility and iconic status of the Jordans make them a staple in my wardrobe. I’ve been deeply inspired by DJ AM, who was not only a pioneer in the DJ world, but also a sneakerhead with an incredible passion for shoes. His dedication to his craft and style is something I aspire to emulate.

“Right now, I can’t get enough streetwear. It’s a huge part of my brand and personal style. It allows me to express myself both on and off the stage. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling confident and authentic. “If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you play good,” one of my favorite quotes from Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders.

“I love shopping on Newbury Street in Boston at spots like Sneaker Junkies, LACED, Riccardi, and Concepts. These places have an amazing selection and always keep me ahead of the trends. My favorite brands include Icecream by Pharrell, which is an extension of the famous  Billionaire Boys Club brand; Paper Planes founded by Jay-Z; Rhude, a design venture born out of Los Angeles balancing luxury with streetwear elements; and one of my all-time favorites, Off White—RIP to the legendary visionary Virgil Abloh. Each brand has its unique flair that speaks to different aspects of my personality and style.”
