The Goldie Awards announced 16 contestants who have made the cut and will participate in the first annual DJ Battle and Beat Battle. This new competition presented by Fool’s Gold, TMWRK, Thump & Noisey was created to celebrate the DJ art form and recognize how big the DJ and producer world have become within mainstream culture. 

Originally the Goldie Awards were going to accept only six contestants for each category, but because they received such an overwhelming amount of submissions, they decided to take two extra for each category. Each contestant submitted an original video with hopes of moving on to the next round and winning an opportunity to release music on Fool’s Gold, perform at Fool’s Gold Day Off and more.

We’re happy to report that a few contestants are BPM Supreme’s extended family, including K-Swizz and Miles Medina. Check out all of the finalists below, along with their submission videos.
