From January 12-14, 2024, BPM Music showed up and showed love at the third annual DJ Power Summit in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s theme, “Empower, Educate, & Entertain,” was the heart of the DJ Power Summit’s mission. The Summit intends to uplift and inspire, all while paying homage to the monumental 50-year legacy of hip hop and its incredible global impact. It’s truly a place where culture, creativity, and community collide.

Throughout the 3-day event, BPM’s team and event-goers engaged in impactful discussions centered around crucial topics, from the evolution of hip hop culture to the role of DJs in shaping musical landscapes. They were able to experience live performances as artists from various genres came together to celebrate music and culture. Plus, interactive masterclasses provided a unique chance to learn directly from industry experts.

BPM Music’s own Mike Acosta, Audio Director for BPM Create, and Monte “Bang” Jackson, Artist Relations for BPM Supreme, took part in the workshop, “Beyond the Decks: Life Outside the Booth,” where they got to chop it up with moderator DJ Quesscoast of Elevate Culture, along with panelists DJ Era of 105.3 The Beat ATL, DJ Inferno, Brian Samson of Empire, and DJ Atomic of Carnival Entertainment. 

“My favorite part of the weekend had to be hearing all of the panelists and listening to immensely talented music industry pros like DJ Atomic. I really enjoyed hearing about his journey. Shout out to DJ3, Staci, and DJ Big X for letting me play a big part in this year’s summit and allowing me to curate our panel,” said Jackson.
