V-Moda Crossfade 2 Codex Edition Deliver Upgraded Bluetooth Features
Share

Fashion-forward headphone and audio brand, V-Moda has released Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex Edition headphones. Upgraded from the previous Crossfade 2 Wireless headphones, the new model comes in three colors and features added high-quality audio codecs for Bluetooth.

For DJs who prefer using wireless headphones, the new Codex Edition will be especially welcomed. They now support Qualcomm aptX, AAC, and SBC, giving you better sound quality than ever before. If you’re not familiar with Bluetooth audio codecs, here’s a little background information:

Qualcomm AptX: The algorithm developed for professional studios enables CD quality sound over Bluetooth for high-end Android phones and macOS

AAC: The Advanced Audio Codec AAC allows for optimal listening with iOS and other devices

SBC: Sub-Band Codec (SBC) provides universal compatibility when aptX and AAC are not supported

As with the original Crossfade 2 headphones, the Codex Edition gives you the best of both worlds with hybrid wireless and hi-res audio wired capabilities. A bigger battery provides up to 14 hours of wireless music plus unlimited hours in wired analog mode.

You can choose between matte black, matte white or rose gold and don’t forget that these sleek headphones also have customizable shields (3D print or laser-engraved).

The Crossfade 2 Wireless headphones made our list of best headphones released in 2017. You can snag those now for a sale price of $250 USD, while the upgraded Codex Edition headphones are available for $350 USD.

V-Moda also offers a great trade-in program for those who want to upgrade older headphones for a new model. Learn more by visiting V-Moda’s website and leave a comment below if you’re a fan of the company. We want to hear from you!
