Calling all sneakerheads! It’s almost time for round two of the 808-inspired shoe from Roland and Puma. Dropping globally on #808DAY (August 8), the new Puma RS-100 Roland celebrates the iconic TR-808 drum machine, often credited for helping push hip-hop music worldwide.

“Puma’s RS-100 Roland follows the story of reinvention—inspired by the past, shaped by the colorful histories of both brands and reimagined for the future,” said Roland.

Roland’s partnership with Puma kicked off earlier this year with the unveiling of their first sneaker collaboration, the Puma RS-0 Roland, also inspired by the legendary 808 drum machine.

The RS-100 (below) boasts a retro look made with modern materials like pebble leather, ripstop nylon, and suede.

The RS-0 (below) is a reboot of Puma’s classic ‘80s R-System line of running sneakers. They feature premium leather black upper, micro perf vents, 6mm flat, reflective laces, reflective midsole details, and signature TR-808 colors.

As opposed to the TR-808 Adidas Beatmaking sneakers that never made it past a prototype, you can actually buy the Puma shoes. The black RS-0 style retails for $130 USD, while the white and vibrant orange RS-100 style retails for $100. Find them on Puma’s website or at select retailers beginning August 8.
