Trentino is a DJ, producer, Red Bull 3Style USA Champ, and our latest artist spotlight on White Label. From his roots in Chicago, getting his first turntables at age 14, to his current home in Las Vegas, where he plays at some of the biggest clubs, Trentino’s journey is a testament to his dedication and passion.

He’s now making a name for himself in the producer world with his hard-hitting electronic and bass house tracks like “Throw It Down” and “Nobody.” Learn more about Trentino’s story in our interview below and listen to his music on White Label.

How did you get your artist name?

Trentino was a nickname from my middle/high school friend Nick. I only found out much later about the region in Italy, which I would love to visit for climbing and snowboarding.

Where do you call home?

I’ve been living in Las Vegas for nearly seven years now and I love it. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, went to college in Columbus, OH, lived in the city of Chicago, and then LA a few years before Vegas.

How do you describe your musical style? 

I’ve taken a journey through many styles and roles throughout my career, so I think it’s best defined by versatility, even though I have a preference for dance music when it comes to DJing and producing under my own name. 

What first inspired you to get into music? 

I fell in love with hip hop at an early age and just wanted to participate in music somehow. I began with drums at age 10, and after seeing DJs on TV regularly, I acquired turntables at age 14.

Is there an artist or person who has inspired you most? 

There are way too many artists, DJs, drummers, and producers, to name just one, and I’m finding new people to be inspired by all the time.

What’s your favorite piece of music production gear or software? 

Ableton has become a standard for a reason; it’s so intuitive and fast.

What’s your favorite part of the music production process? 

After you find an idea that’s worth building out, but before you get down to the last 5% tweaking the sonics.
