Where do you call home?

I’ve just moved back home to Melbourne after living in London for the last few years.

What is the significance of your artist name?

I’ve just stuck with my original name, as I wanted to make this project as authentic to me as possible.

How do you describe your musical style?

Clean pop made by a girl who almost exclusively listens to Jersey club.

What first inspired you to get into music?

My older brother was musically talented and I always looked up to him so I gave singing a go. It’s been a constant creative outlet all through my life.

Is there an artist or person who has inspired you most?

I grew up listening to Adele and Florence + the Machine, but when I first found Anderson .Paak’s Malibu that changed everything. I was so in love with every single sound on that record that it made me get really into making groovy dancey music.

What’s your favorite piece of music production gear or software?

My first recording mic was the AT2020USB+ USB microphone as it’s all I can afford and it’s my old reliable. I’ve used other ones but it’s just my favorite to take around and travel with a use anywhere. I’ve got a few songs out using that mic, after sending the vocals to a talented producer for some polishing.

What’s your favorite part of the music production process?

Definitely that magic moment in the studio with a producer where we click and find exactly the sound we were looking for. It doesn’t always happen but when it does there’s no better feeling than that initial writing session gold.

Any projects we should know about?

I dropped the first single off my new EP on June 28! My talented bestie melrose. produced and is featured on it. It is very fun and silly. My whole EP is showing the new sound I’ve been working on the last few years in South East London.
