If you’re anything like us, you look forward to the Grammy Awards each year, not only to see who the big winners are, but for the performances that everyone will be talking about for days. Well, the results are in and the 2018 Grammy nominees have been announced.
Does it surprise you that Cardi B has received not one, but two nominations for “Bodak Yellow” (Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance) or that “Despacito” is up for Song of the Year? Album of the Year has fierce competition with nominees including Jay-Z (eight total nominations), Kendrick Lamar (seven total nominations) and Bruno Mars (three total nominations).
We’re excited for rising stars like SZA and Julia Michaels, who both received a nomination for Best New Artist. On the electronic side of things, Bonobo is up for both Best Dance Recording, “Bambro Koyo Ganda” and Best Dance/Electronic Album, Migration.
The Grammy Awards will return to New York City for 2018 after spending 14 consecutive years at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Taking place at Madison Square Garden, the show begins at 7:30pm Eastern Time on January 28, 2018 and will be broadcasted live on CBS.
