Electronic music DJs/producers, GTA, recently stopped by the BPM Supreme office to share their new Latin-inspired EP, La Nueva Clásica. During their visit, we decided to have the duo, Julio Mejia and Matt Toth, sit down and answer a few questions for our newest interview series, Queued Up.
In this XL edition of Queued Up, the guys share personal stories about how they met and bonded over a System of a Down CD, who has influenced their music production the most, and a few of the artists they dream about working with in the future.
GTA has released tracks on labels like Mad Decent, Fool’s Gold Records, and Mixmash Records. With production that blends together house, trap, dembow, and Latin sounds, every track on La Nueva Clásica is bursting with energetic party vibes. The creative process behind the new EP consisted of experimenting with a lot of different sounds and never restricting the music to one genre.
“We’re kind of all over the place. We’re kind of a mess. But it’s a good, fun mess,” said Toth.
