Just announced, A-Trak’s Goldie Awards DJ & Beat Battle returns for 2018. BPM Supreme is proud to announce our sponsorship of the 2nd annual event, alongside Fool’s Gold, adidas originals, and TMWRK. The 2018 Goldie Awards will take place on November 8 at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, New York.
A-Trak describes the Goldie Awards as the first modern-day DJ and producer battle. This year, eight DJs and eight producers will be selected based on their video submissions and flown to New York to compete. In addition to other prizes (to be announced), the winner of the DJ Battle will get to perform at Fool’s Gold Day Off, and the winner of the Beat Battle will have a song released on the Fool’s Gold record label.
Hosted by Desus Nice and Nadeska Alexis, the 2018 Goldie Awards event is looking to be just as successful as the sold-out 2017 event. Judges include a list of legendary DJs and producers, including Mark Ronson, Just Blaze, Craze, Murda Beatz, El-P, Anna Lunoe, Boys Noize, and Venus X.
