Share

The summer is a great time to hang with friends, enjoy some sunshine, and listen to the hottest songs by your favorite artists. We’re taking a look back at this summer’s most infectious hits. These were not only downloaded most on BPM Supreme, but could be heard blasting from car radios and DJ decks alike.

1. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee ft Justin Bieber – Despacito

Arguably the most listened to song of the summer, “Despacito” was streamed a record-setting 4.6 billion times in just six months, according to Billboard.

2. Calvin Harris ft Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean – Feels

Released back in June, “Feels” was the fourth single from the album Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1 by Calvin Harris. It topped the charts in over 30 countries. Grab the exclusive JRythm & BPM Supreme remix here.

3. French Montana ft Swae Lee – Unforgettable

“Unforgettable” peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. It was French Montana’s first song as a lead artist to reach the top 10, as well as Swae Lee’s first as a solo artist. We hope to see more hits from these two in the future.

4. Cardi B – Bodak Yellow

This Bronx, NY rapper’s smash single, “Bodak Yellow,” hit number two on the Billboard charts in September. The song is featured on Cardi B’s upcoming album due out in October. She’s even received nods of approval from music queens like Beyoncé and Janet Jackson.

5. DJ Khaled ft Rihanna and Bryson Tiller – Wild Thoughts

You couldn’t avoid having ‘wild thoughts’ this summer, each time Rihanna sang the sultry lyrics. Released in June, “Wild Thoughts” borrowed samples from Santana’s “Maria Maria.” It was an instant hit and sure to be stuck in your head.

6. Bruno Mars – That’s What I Like

Off of Bruno Mars’ third studio album, 24K Magic, “That’s What I Like” was released in January and held streaming and radio play well through the summer. As of July 2017, it has sold 1,377,000 copies and accumulated 522 million audio and video streams.

7. J Balvin and Willy William – Mi Gente

Surpassing 400 million views on YouTube, J Balvin and Willy William’s Mi Gente has been said to fuse electronic, Caribbean and African beats into one catchy melody. As of September 2, Mi Gente reached number 23 on The Hot 100 and has been holding a steady position for 10 weeks.

8. DJ Khaled ft Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne – I’m the One

Khaled’s second single from his album, Grateful, and second song on our list of summer’s hottest tracks is “I’m the One.” With a little help from Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne, there was no way this song could be overlooked.

9. The Chainsmokers and Coldplay – Something Just Like This

The combination of vocals from Coldplay’s Chris Martin and beats by the Chainsmokers is a recipe for success. “Something Just Like This” went from number 56 to number five in just one week after debuting on the Hot 100 and reached number one on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart.

10. Kendrick Lamar – Humble

‘Humble’ has spent 23 weeks on the charts and reached number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 on May 6. This was Lamar’s second Hot 100 number one and first as a lead artist. The single came off of the EP DAMN, which earned 603,000 equivalent album units in April and marked the artist’s third number one album.

There are many more hits of the summer and we’re sure listening to them will always bring back memories. What song was your summer 2017 anthem? Let us know if we missed your favorite.
